Lovin' my New Platform Bed!!!!!!!

So I found a listing in Garner, NC on Raleigh's Craigslist for a Queen Size Platform Bed and the pictures looked awesome. I never try to get my hopes up too much because it can often look better in the pictures than in person. Well....in this instance it was THE OPPOSITE!!! I got there and my jaw almost dropped, because it looked immaculate for the price listed ($100) and was just what I had been looking for!!! It has a nice large headboard and is espresso in color and will look awesome once the pillowtop mattress (next item I'm going to purchase) is on! That is one neat thing about platform beds is that they do not require a boxspring because they have extra support, to achieve that low contemporary look. It's also in AWESOME SHAPE and has only one small indention/scrape in the wood on the head board that can be touched up. Anywho...I am thrilled to have found this bed and have been looking for beds lately that I'm so glad I held out...IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!!!!

Also, here is a picture of my lillberg sofa with the Hasselo Print Covers I posted about earlier! They look lovely!!!!!!!! And I will be leaving the loveseat in its white covers, if I cant find two more slipcover sets! Either way they will look great together because there are hints of white in the Hasselo Print.

I also got a bunch of stuff on clearance from Target the other day:

-"Achieve" Lettered Decor that will look awesome in the office!
-A cute little photo frame jewelry box for 3 bucks!!!! (Pretty good size too!)
-A few sets of plastic plates for $1.99 per four-piece set
-A bamboo Rug (from TJ Maxx for 7 bucks)
-A glass set from TJmaxx for $12.99

Just bought a queen size platform bed that looks awesome! on my way back now! pictures up soon!

Entertainment Center!

So, I found a Craigslist listing for an entertainment center in downtown Greensboro, that was armoire(ish) style and had some awesome storage space features! It has a little swing open door on the right side that has narrow shelves for DVD's and CD's! And a glass cabinet under the TV area with two doors! I had been looking at TV armoires for a while, but was skeptical because I only have a 27" Insignia LCD and mostly all of the other armoires were GINORMOUS and would have made my TV look quite puny, but this was the perfect solution! I scored it for only $40 bucks and the guy who sold it to me was moving as well, only to find out he was moving to the Lindley park area right near where I'll be moving to! How neat is that!?!? Made my first little neighborhood buddy! :P

Still Buyin' !

So, I was given this awesome little stainless steel Sharp microwave from Celena, Clark and Izzy, after they remodeled (or shall I say are RemodelING :P) their kitchen! After a little stainless steel cleaner and a nice placement, it pops!

I also have been on the lookout for a set of dished from Big Lots, Echo Home Collection, that I love! They are an olivey beige (IDK if that even does the color justice though) they are just beautiful! It is a cherry blossom design and has that high end pottery feel. See my pretty little set up below!!!! On a side note: The Big Lots in Asheboro had ran out of salad plates, and Celena had bought one of the larger dinner plates form there that I had been looking for, and I ventured up to the one on High Point road in Greensboro to find the remainder of the collection that I needed only to be informed by her that a women was held at gunpoint there last week!!!!!! Thanks, Nina!!!!!! haha JK :P

Next, my lovely mother bought me this lovely Red and Black Hometrends stoneware set from Wal-Mart (yea!) and it looks great! Of course to be complemented by a cute little Red Tea Kettle!

Some other nick knacks include an awesome little geographically-textured globe and Starbucks poster that Marshall dug up from his things in Storage, that I snagged. The poster looks like it may belong in a dorm room so I'm still contemplating how/where it would go but I love Starbucks and its a cool little piece anyhow! And the globe has a lot of potential, in the office maybe?!? :)

LAST BUT NOT LEAST.....I found the most AwesomeIST ever (:P) cushion covers on a Craigslist listing in Richmond that a lady was kind enough to mail to me, after payment via paypal (only 55 bucks TOTAL!) for 3 sets of covers (enough to cover the sofa at least!!!!) This is one of my favorite prints that IKEA had for the Lillberg line and I am hoping to complete the collection with my loveseat if I can find two more cover sets! If not, I still have the white and black which would go with it just as well. I just love the fact that it has so many color options for the living space....there are some oranges, grays, blacks and whites in the print and I LOVE IT! (how many times have I said LOVE <3 ???) :P Need I say more?

Peace out!

Lillberg Slipcovers!

So I got a whole lot of Slipcovers in White and Black, through a little bit of a crazy Craigslist finding. I was on Craiglook, which is a mass search engine that finds a specific product within a mile range from your zip code. Just curious of what was out there, I found a listing in California, for just the cushions and covers. I emailed the seller and told them that I would be willing to pay them shipping and handling and told them about my situation in not being able to find the covers. They sold me 3 sets of white and 4 sets of black (which I didn't really need so am re-saleing them on Ebay) all in excellent shape with no rips or tearing and only one small stain that is covered up with being flipped to the other side. The covers I paid $20 for and $23 to ship, which barely covered the price for two sets new from IKEA (at $20 per set).

Also, I felt kind of dum after going back through my IKEA catalog and seeing the Lillberg Sofa, Loveseat, and Rocker all listed. I thought they were discontinued! I thought this because they were not listed on the website and because of some manufacturers defects with the wood veneer base cracking. However, I spoke to customer service in Charlotte and they said they still sale the white cushion covers and have them in stock. (YES!) Also, to my surprise the June 7-11th special is the Lillberg Loveseat for the unbeatable price of $62 (It's regular $249!!!!!) So I think I will actually be getting another one for my office area, maybe even along with an Expedit bookcase and some lack tables (as end tables) to match the light wood accents. I also fell in love with the white Cotton Rocker chair that is from the Lillberg line, after looking at it in the catalog and am thinking about getting it sometime before I move in to finish the collection out. They also have a Lillberg coffee table that would look awesome as well!

I have been looking out for a Rug on Craigslist as well. I really love the Andrea Rund Circular Pattern Rug at IKEA but its $299! I just don't know if I can go through with a purchase like that, BUT it is a beautiful rug and would go great with the new slipcovers!

Well, that's all she wrote!

Stay tuned....

Found um'!!!!

Yah! I found some of the white cushion covers for my lillberg sofa and they came today! pictures will be up soon! :)
