Hitting the Criagslist Jackpot! Move-in date is soon!

Soooo...Haven't updated the blog in a while but I have gotten TONS of things in the meantime. Lots of kitchen wares, a butcher block with knives (insignia steel from Chicago cutlery...ITS AWESOME!) A Silverstone Cookware set with Red pots and pans, some appliances and MUCH MUCH MORE (Details on those to come!)

Yesterday afternoon I found a listing for a dresser and nightstand at College Hill in Greensboro. It was listed for only $50 and the woman told me they were in great condition so I didn't want to get my hopes up but she called me with directions and I came to look at them after I got off and paid and picked them up on the spot! (I'm suprised they fit in the explorer but somehow I managed to fit them in together!

Now I know these are off-white, with gold trim but they have a nice antique-chique vibe and it may not be matchy matchy with my bed but for the price....I have to take what I can get for now with the move in date nearing! Its still very nice furniture and it always has potential to be refinished or resold if I do find another fit! ITS SO HARD TO FIND espresso colored furniture that will match my bed! Most of it is either to cheap to consider or too high end to think about...so I'm still looking but am very happy with this find! Also, once the room is set up and I have my linens on the bed and lamps on the nightstand it will look great! I'm being hopeful!

I also got this lovely China Hutch thats from Japan. The guy I bought it from is in the process of moving and has lived in okinawa for 6 years and is in the military. Now hes moving back to okinawa, where his family is already and he had a ton of stuff for sale in the process! His wife has tons of Partylite candles and holders and tons of decorative items! I'm going back in the morning to shop around some more and pick up the hutch.!

IT IS BEAUTIFUL! LET ME TELL YOU!!!!!!!! It has a cherry blossom inlay and the drawers and doors glide, open/close like a champ!!!! I'm in love with it!!! It has an IKEA-looking vibe to it.

MORE TO COMEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
